This is about me, Devan, CEO at Strimi.
I am an LA native who's always had a passion for social technology. After becoming an avid Snapchat user in just the 8th grade, I realized how big of a role social media played in the extra-social years of my life: middle and high school were crucial years for social maturity. Having an app like Snapchat that all my friends were using, that didn't also have my Dad on it (like Facebook did), and that felt new and fresh for my generation really played a huge part in how I socialized. By the time I hit high school, everyone (more importantly, girls) stopped asking me for my number and instead for my Snapchat. In hindsight, this was extremely pivotal.
When I turned 15 I started my first company and very quickly learned how powerful social media marketing could be. After what I considered success with that company, I started to consult for other companies specializing in digital marketing. After working for ~a dozen companies, I came back to social media, but this time created the business behind the platform. I graduated high school in LA and attended Babson College for entrepreneurship.
Soon, I put an idea together and had a killer marketing plan. Next, I put together the team I knew could do the job well. Finally, execution. Strimi was born not too long ago, it's a social live streaming platform made for gen-z. Why live streaming? Why gen-z? Get to know me over the next couple months, you'll see exactly why. Follow me on Instagram (@devan.sood), and check out my personal site. While you're at it, be sure to keep up with Strimi's Facebook page!
